You need to start with the front door, and look at a bagua map. From what I learned, it is to really work in something that feels right for you. Being clutter free, organized, and able to move freely throughout your room is more important than specific colors. Feng shui is more of an art than an exact science.

feng shui is opposites…. so black and white? also, feng shui is like ‘soft edges’ and ‘water’ and ‘balance’

I believe blue or green for living room for a sense of relaxation and red for the dining room/kitchen. I say red because it accents the food and is associated with feeling hearty and happy, which comliments food completely.

Question by joines_rachel: How do you use feng shui colors within a room (like mixing and things)?
I am decorating my future bedroom and bathroom. I am confused about how feng shui uses colors. I know you should not mix fire and water (for example). The problem is my bathroom has a brown shower curtain, and I like it. It is technically a wood color, so can I leave it in my bathroom (which is technically fire and earth)? Or is that bad feng shui? Are you allowed to mix different element colors at all?
Please answer earnestly. I am just trying to make sure my first place (that i’m paying for) is perfect! I do not practice feng shui religiously, but I do like the idea of being centered!

The color depends on the element. Analyze your home applying the 8 Mansions and the Flying Star system of Feng Shui. Once you know which element is necessary in each sector of the house, you will know which color is ok. Each element has its corresponding colors.

think about the favorite colors of spring or fall which ever you like best

pick two or three that make you feel warm and cozy

there you go now you can feel comfy and tell every one you did it yourself
